If you know how video game designers enjoy putting hints in their games to give away what is to expect next, then this shouldn't be a surprise to you.

After playing through Bioshock, I noticed right before you confront Andrew Ryan, in a sub-room, Ryan has a jumbled wall of pictures and news clippings with the words "Would you kindly?". The main part of the wall has multiple pictures with strings to show the connection between one another. There is a picture of a shadow with a question mark. As seen below.



When I saw this I wondered to myself, everyone is somehow tied to each other in one way or another. But this shadowy figure is the only one that is tied to Ryan, and cut off by Ryan. so I researched into all the audio diaries. The only diary that has someone not within the story line is a man named Rosenberg. By the sounds of the audio diary, this Rosenberg character is a superior of Mr. Ryan.

"Transcript: Diane, my dear, I'm sorry but I'll be late again tonight... Rosenberg is demanding to speak about this Fontaine business. I'm trying to build a proper financial market and this idiot keeps going on about Adam this and genetic modification that. I'll go spend an hour pretending to pay attention to the poor fellow and be home as soon as I can."

Rosenberg is the most likely new character for bioshock 2, for the simple fact that rumors circulating the Bioshock 2 community state it will be both a sequel and prequel, that fits perfectly for Rosenberg. He was there before and he is still there.

From what i hear this new game may take place before Rapture was destroyed but either way it should be awesome

the shadwed figure is the person you are playing as which is you in the first bioshock you are the missing link

Sorry, but the person you play as, Jack Ryan, is the picture with no name, if you have played through Bioshock and you get to that point, you will see that everyone in the game is tied to you, Jack Ryan. The best connection that I have found is the Rosenberg character.

well i do believe there is a fat chance that Rosenburg could be the new character. It's just that I doubt that somehow he'll play a big role in the new bioshock.

This shaded figure must be someone invovled with the creation of rapture (or at least someone close to Ryan). I don't have any idea who it could be, but I have this theory that Jack isn't the only one that Ryan calls back.

Your mistaken the photo of Jack is on the desk, that question mark was only connected to andrew Ryan too... Matt I think your on to something!

well wayne you probally posted that before it became more populer but the story line is 10 years after jack visited and i might think its rosenburg but i dont think he will be in number 2 actully ive seen some things about it its a girl she was a old friend of ryan takes charge of the place after jack leaves shes a main character of bioshock 2

actually the new character is a lady named sinclair she has a religious following in rapture now and it is a sequel that takes place 10 years after the first game. the multiplayer however is a prequel that takes place 1 year before the events of bioshock 1 you get to take part in the civil war

I'm wondering if there will be a story in all the multiplayer games.
